Jose Ramirez and Viktor Postol have remained disciplined through the holiday season. The pair of junior welterweights were both in compliance of the 30-day weight safety check as imposed by the World Boxing Council (WBC) ahead of their February 2 title fight at Mission Hills Haikou in Haikou, China. Participants for any WBC-sanctioned fight cannot weigh heavier than 10% above the contracted limit 30 days out from fight night. In this case, both boxers were required to weigh 154 pounds or less for their 140-pound title fight.
