Comments Thread For: Gilberto Ramirez: Deal For World Title Fight is Close

Former WBO super middleweight champion Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramrez is looking for another world title in 2020. Ramirez made the jump to light heavyweight in 2019, but he's been out of the ring since making that debut in April. The division is very loaded with numerous options for Ramirez, as his promoter - Top Rank - currently handle several top contenders at the weight.

Ramirez should take out one of those euro bums either Butterbive or The guy who just lost to him and then try for a canelo super fight.

would love to see Zurdo-Beterbiev but Arum is not making that fight and you know it. He'll fight an unknown for a vacant title and make a few defences, maybe even give Kovalev another payday, and hope that a Canelo fight comes along

Beterbiev batters Ramirez, Gvozdyk outboxes Ramirez, Bivol schools Ramirez. And you know it 😜😂

The guy is huge for Canelo or Golovkin, better fights a guy of his own size, Salamov isn't strong enough, Beterbiev will probably stop Zurdo, Gwozdyk is the perfect choice

Lol. This dude dint fight anyone noteworthy at 168 and would now hold the WBO belt hostage for years.

... "Ramirez is hoping to fight for that vacant belt in the coming months. Ranked at number two is Umar Salamov (25-1, 19 KOs) of Russia. (...)

... Salamov's only fight in the U.S. was under USA Showtime...

                  ... well, good luck Zurdo!...
