And yes, 20 is better than 10, but how many boxers fill arenas with 20 000 these days? Plus people know about Jack from his fight against Stevenson.
    Brother I’m from MTL also
I’ve followed these guys from way back interbox days as they would get their rentals from a family member

For him to pull that amount of peo0le it’s gonna have to be a great card and lots of hype
Many people feel he’s done and is getting real lucky as of late
He ain’t really liked and many people hate his fughin character
And now people talking lots of chit about peds

We all saw what happened to Dawson , so not really considering him top notch
I just don’t see him beating any of the top guys
His last wins have been against guys who are not proven , hence where his experience came into action
He's fought a who's who of 175ers for 10 years except for Stevenson and Ward, who was not around for long at 175. If you fight the best fighters you're going to take some Ls unless you're ATG level, which Jean is not.

Like other posters have said, he arguably won B-Hop 1 & Alvarez. Also from 2009-2015 top-10 ranked LHW (Ring), was previous lineal champ and now back in top-10 rankings with late renaissance to his career. Dude's had a hell of a run. You'd imagine he'd get in eventually - maybe in 60 years time they could induct him as "an Old Timer" lol

Jean Pascal has nothing to lose in calling for Canelo Alvarez.

I hear you and your probably right
He’s one of my hometown fighters and maybe my hate for him might be getting in my vision
But he did lose to all the top fighters , imo he lost to Alvarez and B-Hop
The guy has balls and made it quite far in the game just by training and heart
Not so sure about the hall though

Then I don't know what to tell you... People have been saying he's done for the past 5 years... And yet! And since when has a bad character been a bad thing when it comes to selling tickets?

And who doesn't need a good card or a solid promo when trying to sell 10 000 tickets these days, no matter who's headlining?

PS As soon as you mention Heredia, everyone loses their ****... With reason, but still... I don't see it as a deal breaker, specially for the casual fans.

Why is Jean disliked by some in Canada?

Jean was pretty arrogant when he came up before he took his first L. People haven’t forgiven him. But the Québécois are an interesting type (****ed in the head) because they easily forgave convicted child pimp Adonis Stevenson. But he had knockout power so...yeah

                  I don’t care about Heredia
There all juicing , it’s whoever gets caught
Anyways , attendance for boxing has diminished and I don’t think he can get that number
                  I could be wrong
Do you know what the attendance was for Lemieux

First fight I saw Jean in was against Froch, who's one of my all-time favourites. I was studying in Nottingham at that time but it was so hard to get tickets to a Cobra fight! Jean made an instant fan of me, lost 8-4 but very very competitive fight!

I always found it weird that Stevenson, with his past, was so well liked.

I'm sure Canadian boxing fans will miss Pascal once he's gone and they realise that their current crop of Canadian fighters don't have half the stones that Jean has shown by fighting so many top fighters - Froch, Dawson, Bhop, Kovalev - that's 4 HOFers right there, plus all the other fighters (Bivol, Jack, Bute, Diaconux2, Alvarez, Browne).

Canada is unique, because only one pocket (Quebec) really care about boxing. The rest of the country is MMA. Russ Anber has his Rival gym out in Montreal. Lots of guys turn pro and come here to fight, and "fighting out of Montreal Canada" basically is the same as being a Canadian fighter at this point. These guys come here the second they go pro and live here around the clock. Even after Pascal retires, and with Stevenson retired Canadian Fighters stack 175 (Beterbiev, E. Alvarez) Oscar Rivas at Heavyweight plus Arslanbek Makhmudov who is a huge risk low reward HW who just called out Wilder. Also with a lot of guys coming up soon (I'm very big on Sadriddin Akhmedov who reminds me of a 20 year old Golovkin. He came over from Kazakhstan at 19 to turn pro.

Mula and I have been telling people to watch out for Beterbiev since before he made Tavoris Cloud his *****. lol

                      Here's Mak
