I hope not all British on here are viewed the same.
...Very good post mate.

I like you already.
Roy Shaw was the man. Lenny Mclean was my favourite unlicensed fighter though.
Welcome.

Thanks man.
I prefer Roy Shaw cause his book was better (in my opinion) but Lenny McLean was a hard nut too.

I've read both of their books, I can't decide which is my favourite.
Both come in as a great read, though.

Welcome, I'm somewhat new myself. There are tons of great minds here to pick about boxing, have a good conversation, or debate with. I find if you respect everyone, they respect you, and the *******s are few and mostly universally recognized.

I'm also a new 'Limey' to this forum!
I haven't seen this hostility that you talk about but it doesn't sound too clever.
I am pretty new to the idea of forums but it does seem like there is a lot of intelligent debate on here aside from the 'hostility'.
I look forward to sharing some of my own ideas on the world of boxing; and don't worry not all my favourite boxers are British.

Hi Bex. You sound cool man.
Everyone has been really friendly to me here and I'm sure you'll find it the same.
The 'hostility' was a couple of losers posting anti American comments for no reason giving fellow Brits a bad name.
Nice pic of Terry Butcher btw.
