We're talking about a ZERO fight novice against one of the best pure boxers of all time.

Do you really think McGregor was that good?

    More like Floyd carried him

Imagine Floyd knocked him spark out in 30 seconds (a genuine possibility by the way given the gulf in skill and experience)

    - McGregor's commercial value would have become zero

    - the UFC would have become an absolute joke

    - The fans would have felt cheated (quite rightly, given the hype)

    - Floyd would have become persona non-grata with Showtime and would have struggled to get a PPV audience again of the same magnitude and been exposed as a money grabbing charlatan whore

    - The networks would have looked like complete con artists for selling us the hype only for it to have come crashing down in 30 seconds

    - PPV in general would have been difficult to pitch at that price point for a long time afterwards

      He outboxed Floyd?

If he was so good, he would have made another boxing attempt. He has enough brain dead deluded moron fans who would be willing to pay.

The first time he gets in with a genuinely motivated boxer he gets hammered.

Wait.....you mean like he did the undefeated Jap kickboxer? You're a moron if you really believe the narrative that Floyd took punches on purpose. The fact is that Conor was WAY more skilled than he was expected to be and had a little size on Floyd. I, myself thought Floyd would obliterate him but he definitely got out boxed until Conor gassed. That is what happened. I'm a boxing fan but I cannot lie.
