Why do ya'll sleep on DSG?

Danny's a solid fighter, man, a legit top 10 Welter (some might say top 5) but we've seen his limits with Herrera, Keith and Shawn. I ain't sleeping on him and I think he'll give Bud a tough fight - think he gives everyone a tough fight, actually - but I also think he's a level below in terms of raw talent.

EDIT: Whoops, damn, man... I got caught out by it being a few days old and thought we were talking about Bud instead of Errol, mmm. Course we'll have to see how Errol comes back, but assuming he's at his best most of the same applies. I rate Bud a little higher than Spence in terms of raw talent but Spence has more physicality I think, if not quite the mean streak that Bud shows on occasion.

Maybe you're thinking that because Danny ran close with Shawn and Shawn ran close with Errol you got some kinda triangle going on, but Porter brings a unique set of problems to the ring, an insane workrate and non stop aggression, whereas I think we'll see that there's nothing that Danny brings to the ring that Spence doesn't do a bit better.

I don't think many fighters can ever be Floyd outside of the ring, honestly his dedication and commitment to the craft is so rare. BHOP was the same, total and complete motivation to always be in shape, Calzaghe as well for the most part of his career too!

Somebody gave me red for pointing out Loma can't match Mayweather for dedication (Loma was round in the face with a wee pop belly in the picture in question) and this struck me as odd but I can understand the mentality I guess!

I think the thread loses some credibility with the mention of DSG but stranger things have happened! As a side note, it's also worth mentioning just how close Mayweather vs Maidana 1 actually was. Looking at that fight in pure isolation, nobody could really make a case for Mayweather being leagues ahead of any other top 5 after that being so close, especially considering how crude and amateurish Maidana had been made to look by others.

DSG is a tough fight for anyone.

Floyd/Cheno 1 wasn't close at ALL. All that was, was Cheno wrestling not throwing or landing punches.

Floyd is The Best Ever no matter how hard you suckers try to ignore it.

The difference is that Spence actually cares about the fans, unlike Floyd. Spence could fight a super technical style if he wanted.

Its a 50/50 kind of fight to me, one I wouldn't bet on but as long as the bob father has held up fights & the reason for others not being made then F it, I can wait till Bud comes to his senses like Oscar, Floyd, Cotto & Mikey has so until then I will enjoy all the other fights being made with no roadblocks

Porter showed there is little separation between Spence and the top 5 in the welterweight division. Every fight he's going to get the other guy's A-game. Spence doesn't have the dedication to the sport Floyd did. He's going to get picked off by one of these fighters. Personally I think it'll be Danny Garcia. Spence doesn't have the legs of Thurman or the chin of Porter. Styles make fights. And a fighter who doesn't move or slip shots is tailor made for Danny.

Floyds competition was scripted and made to look good. Floyd brought big money to the table for his opponents. Money they wouldn't make else where. It was a business to Floyd after DLH fight.
