Comments Thread For: Frampton vs. Herring in Belfast is The Plan, Says Bob Arum

Carl Frampton will get the chance to become a three-weight world champion in his home city this summer. Frank Warren and Bob Arum will co-promote his challenge for Jamel Herring's WBO super-featherweight title in Belfast when the former two-weight world champion has recovered from surgery on both hands.

Why in the world would Herring agree to go to Belfast? He's the Champ, this is a set up by Bob to have him robbed over there. Herring will need a K.O to win.

Because he will receive probably the biggest purse of his career. This is prize fighting.

He would make More money in the long run, if he keeps His belt.

Props to Herring for taking the fight there! Herring knows the money is better and he's no fool. Besides he probably would like the break. Too much going on around him in the states and he is going to need all the consentration he can get. Toughest test of his career Frampton will be.
Looking at this fight with same feelings going into Inoue vs Donaire. Like them both! Respect them both! Going to be a good one!!

He came at me instead of the people talking bad about him on tv, I guess he thought I was easier. I think he feels the same about Frampton. Since he doesn't want me as a fan, I bet he won't go to the Yucatan for Berchelt.
