Is it possible the gun was in the trunk of the Ferrari? Which would mean it was in the front of the car. Idk anything about gun laws. But if the gun is locked in the trunk does it count the same as if it was inside the car? I’m from NYC so I have no clue how these things work.

Im not fully familiar with Texas law about carrying but the assumptions you make are likely the reasons hes remaining silent. If his lawyers can convince the prosecutors they dont have a case for the gun bcuz it was or couldve been in a "safe" place, thatll leave his lawyers fighting 1 less charge. He maybe facing felony DUI so its better to get the smaller charges dropped and get some kind of delayed judgement on the bigger 1. I.E. pay a fine, take classes, do probation for a year & have the charge lowered or dismissed.

It shouldn't be much of a problem for him, but in Texas, it is against the law to drive while intoxicated. It is also against the law to have a loaded gun on you( even if in your car) if you are intoxicated.

Not sure what the gun laws are in Texas, but if the gun was in the car (glovebox) during the accident would that still be an issue?

The DUI charges in Texas are F bad for the people charged. We had a guy who had to get in his car and blew into a Breathalyzer 3 times a day even when he was at home and not driving. He also had a parole officer come to his place each day.

Errol should be in jail just with the video evidence.
            This is not a joke.

depends state to state. Some states you can't keep it in the glovebox but can keep it in the trunk. Not sure on Texas, since they just recently got CCW laws I believe. (could be open carry, going off memory here)

                THIS!

Even though this is Texas, TX does not have super lenient gun laws... and when it comes to CCW, it is fairly strict.

Booze + CCW (concealed carry) is a HUGE nono.

That is assuming the gun is legal, too. lol. or if he got from someone else.

If he was drunk driving with an illegal pistol, he would have given that interview from behind a glass panel lol

Apparently they did not find the gun immediately... and of course, they have to prove it was illegal...
