Mikey is Looking to Cash Out...

Mikey had his chance to fight Pacquiao back when they were both with Top Rank. But because he got greedy and elected to sit out a good chunk of his prime in the courtroom. Look I am not defending Arum since he tends to waste his fighter's primes "waiting for fights to marinate." Look no further than the idiotic decision to not match Gamboa against Juanma back when they were both in Arum's stable and both were winning fights in spectacular fashion. He may have done the same thing with Pac-Mikey for all we know.

With that being said; Mikey seems to be searching for the biggest possible paydays at this point so he can ride off into the sunset. There isn't anything wrong with that per se but it just seems to me like this dude is greedy.

Let's see if he gets past Vargas before we put him in there with Pac.

Exactly why Mikey has a very good chance of getting the fight.

Many will disagree with me, but I prefer seeing this than seeing Manny vs Spence or Crawford. Manny can beat the slow and deliberate Spence, but not without getting some long term damage and i don't want that. Manny vs Crawford, that's begging for serious health issues... Crawford would land way more punches and hit's harder than people realize.

Danny G is another very winnable alternative, but still more risky than Mikey and wouldn't look as good as a farewell fight.

Side note... people say Mikey is in it for the $$$, well that's why he was away from the sport dealing with court cases.. Once he was free from the BS promoters he made sure to get the best $$ without being tied down to a shady promoter that will mess up opportunities because of network or because the promoter only wants people to fight other people he/she promotes.

U can’t quit in boxing if you do it’s considered throwing In the towel which counts as a loss.

I have to agree with you for the most part. I think Danny gets a really bad rap for the Rod Salka fight. I know he was coming off of an ugly win which many (including me) felt he lost to Herrera but c'mon man. That Salka fight should have never been made.

Aside from that I think Danny has a really good resume. He also beat Kendal Holt and Nate Campbell on his way up to becoming an HBO-level fighter. I was not a big fan of his but the way he fought against Thurman after being hurt early turned me around. I actually like Danny now.

Mikey signed a 7 million $ one fight deal with DA-ZASTER for one reason only, because DA-ZASTER is ******. He signed because it's 7 MILLION DOLLARS! A no brainer! Hearn is trying to pull a fast one on Mexican Americans. As I said before, DA-ZASTER is now trying to survive on gimmick fights. Joshua-fat Andy ll, Kovalev-Canelo, you tubers and now Mikey (a 135lb lightweight) against Vargas (154lb jr middle). It looks like their business model moving forward is going to be one gimmick fight per month to try and keep Mexican Americans engaged. Because no one else will be subscribing. And now Eddie Hearn is suggesting they raise the monthly subscription fee to 50 bucks. For what? So we can get all the fights that you promised on DA-ZASTER that we never got. AJ v Wilder, Canelo v 3G lll, Canelo v andrade, charlo, tevin v tank, jacobs v charlo. All lies by eddie. To make matters worse Danny Jacobs was in the ATL at the Tank fight last saturday along with all his PBC brethren and was looking oh so happy. Yeah I think he's on his way back home, where he's supposed to be. So let me run down DA-ZASTER's 2020 gimmick fight calendar: January- a thursday night you tube event, February - a lightweight v a jr middleweight, March - 3G v a random Slovakian, April - Canelo v Roberto Duran, May - AJ v Lyllian Whyte (you know, according to the UK fanbase, the greatest HW boxer of all time) ....and so on and so on and so on. It's so funny with the performance they're putting on in the US, how in the hell do they think they have any shot at doing business with the NFL after the Sunday ticket contract is up with directtv. If the NFL were going to stream some of their content, Verizon and AT&T will never let a foreigner get their hands on it! Honestly guys, I dont think DA-ZASTER makes it out of 2020!
