    The Axe Man

So Nicholas Walters ( The Axe Man ) is planning a return to the boxing game
Hasn’t been in the ring for three years , his last time out quitting against Loma , three long years ago
He is 33 years old now
Do you guys think he can comeback and be a factor in the super featherweight division
Or has to much time gone by
He didn’t take much punishment during his career

He had a long layoff before the Lomachenko fight and now a super long layoff after.

I don't know how much his head is into boxing at this point.

He was pretty damn good actually. I'm not big on small guys so I can't say I'd be too excited, but, I think he should return and can still do well, yes. I reckon he ought to give himself another crack at them titles.

        Your right
And I think his poor showing against Loma was partially due to his inactivity
Apparently he’s been training hard for this comeback and totally focused
Do you think he can make a dent in the super featherweight division

I agree , he was entertaining and brought some kind of excitement to the game
Hopefully this time around there will be no layoffs in his career if he really wants to succeed

I'm not sure. Will have to see how he looks in his first few fights back.

I would be shocked if he can make 130lbs. He used to blow up in weight between fights and could barely make 126 in his prime, so I don't see him making 130 now after more than three years away from boxing. I really can't envision him having success against the top guys at 135 and due to the way his career fizzled out I don't see him having success regardless, unless he can somehow find a way to fight lower tier opposition.

His style was pretty ordinary, it was his size and strength which gave him advantages at 126. He won't have those advantages anymore thus he won't be as effective.

                I hear you
Always enjoyed him so hoping he can come in and make some noise
Maybe later on , even a rematch with Loma , see if he can redeem himself

Think it was Mariagga before Loma which made me think the axe man was overrated , but also that was based on the fact that donaire was a shell of his former self , 5 years later nonitos having fights of the year with p4p fighters , and maybe Walters win over him was overlooked , he’s the only person to stop donaire even now , but the draw vs sosa who’s been kod 3 in 4 losses tells you his power is not what people thought , hoping he comes back well though

I was disappointed with Walters after the Loma fight, but I'm interested to see how he looks IF (big if) he is coming back. Big worries about his state of mind, temperament, etc. - long layoffs are generally not good
