  • Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia On Spence Loss: So What! It's Like It Never Happened

Mikey Garcia lost the much vaunted zero on his record when he lost his first professional fight to Errol Spence Jr. in his pay-per-view debut. For most fighters, a defeat can be deemed as two steps back. For Garcia, it might as well have been another step forward, as he's fresh off signing a one-fight, $7 million deal with Matchroom Boxing to fight Jessie Vargas on Feb. 29 in Texas on DAZN.

He tried, he failed. I give him props for trying. Everyone knew he was going to lose. I even bet him to lose by TKO.

M more concerned now if he even wants to box and be GREAT anymore??? He know reminds me of Gamboa.

He didn't try. He collected a check. That's the problem.

              Mikey what?

              Slow sluggish and tired?
stop it! you got beat by a bigger and better fighter just admit it.

Mikey I’m a fan you are on of the most skilled fighters in the sport but stop with The excuses.

I do think you have a ton of heart so please let that rain through.

I'm guessing people will remember you raising your hand at the end of the round as if you won something. Charging people to watch a blowout. You may act like it didn't happen, but it did happen.

Much respect for getting in the ring w/ an Errol Spence in his prime unlike the real welters
