Wow! I understand why Crawford is arguing with Spence on Twitter

He has higher television ratings, he sells more tickets and sells out arenas in New York and Las Vegas, he’s regularly a main event fighter when Davis just recently became one, he’s a universally recognized top five p4p fighter, he’s been a name fighter for a much longer period of time, he’s had two PPV cards when Davis hasn’t had one, he fights and is promoted on ESPN after being on HBO.
Why do you say that. I'm curious. What metrics are you using? Ratings? More people watched Conlan than Crawford. Tickets? More people night tickets to Tank's last two shows than Crawford's last two shows. And more people will buy Tank's PPV against Santa Cruz than have bought Crawford's last two combined. Every fighter near Tank's division is using his name.
But it's really a waste of time talking about this stuff because most of you don't understand numbers and trendsComment

He didn't sell out MSG. His ticket sales are rapidly decreasing. That's why Arum wants to take him on the road to S. Africa. The measure of popularity is how much money people are willing to pay to see you. Tank's ticket sales and ratings prove more people are willing to pay to see him. Showtime is behind a paywall just like DAZN. Crawford’s ticket sales aren’t rapidly decreasing and I’ve only seen Davis sell tickets in Baltimore and Atlanta. He wouldn’t sell big tickets in New York like Crawford has. And Crawford sells very well in his hometown like Davis does. Like most fighters do.
Showtime is behind a paywall. Thank you for proving my point on why fighting on ESPN helps your brand.

For sure. They'd have to put Canelo or Wilder on the undercard for someone of my means to buy it.Comment
