Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury: I Rose Like a Phoenix From Ashes To Shake Wilder Up

More than a year later, Tyson Fury still can't fully explain how he made it to the final bell in his first fight with Deontay Wilder, even if he unquestionably believes he deserved to win the fight. The unbeaten British heavyweight continues to draw accolades over the manner in which he recovered from two knockdowns in last December's 12-round draw with Wilder (42-0-1, 41KOs), two sequences which would've knocked out nearly any other fighter on the planet. Fury arose from a 9th round knockdown after outboxing Wilder to that point, but the dramatic fashion in which he beat the count following a right hand and clean-up left hook midway through the 12th round continues to serve as a conversation piece.

I believe Wilder will come in very confident, and that will prove to be his undoing.

Best sporting moment Ive seen in all my life the way Fury got up from that 12th round knockdown by Wilder. 😮

As Fury said in interviews after the fight that fight he had with Wilder reflects life itself. No matter how hard life hits you always try to get back up.

Fury knows how to squeeze every last drop of worth out of things. It was good though. That was the moment of the fight, to be fair the combo that put him down was pretty sweet too.

That was crazy how he got up like "the undertaker", I thought there was no way he was getting up.

                  Like Otto Wallin LOL

Got to give it to the guy, he's got a good marketing plan.

Like someone else said, Wilder is over confident. He hasn't even bothered to work on developing a decent jab. He's had plenty of time to improve, but chose to rely on his right hand without even knowing how to get it on target. Fury is way more mobile that Ortiz and could simply run for 12 rounds and win fairly easily.

Well if Fury beat Wilder(tough and AJ(easy)then he will probably go down as the most famous Brit boxer of all time. He'll make more buzz by going to MMA and pro wrestling again.
