I've seen a few boxers with records like 4-30 or something in that range. Do they make enough money to make that worth it? That's a lot of times to get beat up!
How much do boxers with really really bad records make for fights?

They do it because they love the sport. They have day jobs. Also, the guys with records like that are typically outpointed in all of their losses. They're very necessary to give guys learning experience.
After taxes and corner is paid, they're looking at a few hundred bucks. -

Yea most of them have day jobs and just love the sport and some just do it to get women.win or lose women seem to love fighters.get that hot tailComment

I'm surprised commissions still let some of them fight when they're like 20-150 or so. As long as they pass medical though I suppose, assuming they don't just fight in locations where they can finagle their way out of that.Comment

This sounds about right. They brought that Diego dude from Argentina like two years ago for a championship fight on the undercard and paid him 25k and that’s for a belt on ppv and even though his record was inflated he got 25k. After flights hotel, promoter, expenses, taxes..that’s not much at all for a title fight. The headliners on some of these small gbp and top rank cards don’t even earn 5k combinedComment

Maybe you’re thinking of Bradley vs Chaves? 2m for Bradley compared to only 35k for Chaves... It was a non title bout to be fair but that is one of the worse purses iv seen involving an elite fighter. I don’t care if Bradley was the mega A side... They could have gave the guy 150k atleast lolThis sounds about right. That’s right. Give your mind, body and soul to the devil if it’s not in your favor, no matter how talented you are you can’t beat the a-side. You gotta fight the commission, promoter, judges and ref; damn the other fighter....sometimes it seems like the ring is the sanctuary from the rest of the bullsh.....Maybe you’re thinking of Bradley vs Chaves? 2m for Bradley compared to only 35k for Chaves... I agree and I can honestly say I remember that fight because of two things. Chaves Ko ratio at the time and the bad azz chick in his corner. Haven’t seen her since and I don’t know if you remember her but she was talked about more than the fight itself.Maybe you’re thinking of Bradley vs Chaves? 2m for Bradley compared to only 35k for Chaves...
