Baodu Jack Discuses The Fight - State Farm Arena, Atlanta, Georgia - For the WBA "regular" light heavyweight title, Jean Pascal (35-6-1, 20 KOs) survived a late scare to win a twelve round split decision over two-division champion Badou Jack (21-3-4, 13 KOs).

When Jack failed to keep Pascal down in the final round, my last hopes for winning some money on him by knockout went out of the window.

But I also had bet on the draw, and I think that it could have been scored as such, after all. Unfortunately the judges didn't help this desperate man

I’ve always liked Badou as a fighter but his last few fights have made me think Floyd isn’t paying him

I thought either a draw or a Pascal win when they were announcing the decision. Pascal was on his ass early, and as strong as Badou finished I don’t think it was enough to WIN.

What makes you say that ? You think he’s fighting past his prime or something ? Holding on, fighting just for paydays ?

I, too, think that the decision was fair enough, in spite of my prayer for a draw

Pascal was close to be knocked out in the last round, but overall he deserved to win more than Jack, who is always a little bit behind when it comes to putting pedal to the metal.

If anything Jack is that kind of guy Pascal still has a chance against... Not Elite but good enough for the record...

            Let's do this !!!

I thought Jack won by a couple of points but i think a rematch is the best fight that could be made for both fighters. I think neither Badou nor Jean have any business getting in there with any of the current champions at 175 and it's a chance for them to still make money so why not? it is like a second league type thing and I see no problem with it, if they fight again i'll definitely tune in.

Badou Jack won. He got robbed yet again. At worse this fight was a draw. Badou has to blame his bad luck on his starts and inability to clearly win/steal close rounds. He's very talented, but he doesn't seem to understand that if he's going to go 12 rounds, he needs to know how to win rounds and not give them away. Judges tend to give the benefit of the doubt to the fighter that starts off strong. It's hard for them to tell when the tide is changing. I thought he won this fight, he definitely beat Degale, and I think his fight with Stevenson was a draw. Maybe he needs to question his corner. But I have to give it to Pascal. He fought a very good fight - one of his best. Pascal, is limited in skill, but he schooled Jack on how to steal a round. Stealing a few rounds early, helped him win. You can never count Pascal out, and he showed grit, power, and surprising poise/skill in this fight. I can't knock his effort. Cong****! I would love to see a rematch.....But I also wouldn't mind if Pascal hangs up the gloves. While he surprises at times, he's always an underdog and it always seems as though he's at risk to get seriously hurt in the ring. If he leaves the sport now, he legitimately has a shot to make it into the Boxing HOF.

Credit to him for being an absolute warrior, he must love fighting. I just feel he’s too up for chasing the next fight to be a man who’d been paid what he’s worth.

The problem is when Jack has his opponents in trouble he fights as though nothing happened and then the opportunity slips. Pascal should have been stopped
