oh so now we are back to the eye test! the incredible flip flopping man comes to life! i thought we were talking about rankings? did tank fight anyone who was ranked in the top 10 in the ring, espn, tbrb after pedraza? the answer is no. the last 4 guys and coming up 5 were all ranked between 1 and 7 in all those rankings for loma. SAME THING DERRRP if its so easy to do why didn't tank do it ONCE! why wasnt the incredible ricardo nunez in the top 10 by any one of those rankings? hugo ruiz? cuellar? walsh? etc..different standards for different fighters i guess. when you have no substance i guess all you have left are false equivalencies.

We were taking about how Pedraza certainly is Tank's best win.

Then you decided to say Pedraza was just a cherrypick...except not when Lomachenko fought him of course...because Lomachenko fights Top 5 guys like the oh-so-impressive Anthony Crolla.

Those are the twists and turns you needed to get us to this point in the conversation.

you dont understand how pedraza was seen as a super weak champ? a guy who had just lost but he was given a gift decision over edner cherry. i already said if tank had used that pedraza fight to vault him into other fights against loma, farmer, berchelt, etc...it wouldn't be a cherry pick, but we know what he did. he held onto that belt fighting bums. is that what loma is doing? he fought crolla who was his mandatory and still in the top 5 in most rankings OMG THATS THE SAME THING AS FIGHTING BUMS FOR 3 YEARS STRAIGHT! give me a break with your horrible false equivalencies. what did tan davis do at 130? beat the weakest champ, never fought a top 5 guy, yet he was champ for 3 years. why are you defending that and trying to compare that to what loma is doing? pedraza was in the top 5 when loma fought him, coming off his best win, and loma easily beat him. he was just another guy for loma. he was tanks ticket to stardom for tank and it was the easiest ticket to get at 130

Pedraza beat Edner Cherry in a fight that was close.

Luke Campbell LOST to Yvan Mendy but because Lomachenko beat him and Crolla that makes Pedraza not a cherrypick for him. Only for Gervonta.

          Listen to yourself.

            CHAMPS OF 130 in 2017

lomachenko: just beat walters and roman martinez

corrales: 2 wins over the number 1 guy in the division uchiyama

vargas: beat top 5 miura and drew with top 5 salido

pedraza: no top 10 wins, gift victory over edner cherry

he clearly cherry picked the weakest champ. im not sure why you are trying to deflect and make this about loma. guess when you have no argument you have to try to conjure up false equivalencies. loma just won 3 of the belts at 135 and is going for the other in his next fight so how is that cherry picking? tank beat the weakest champ and sat on his hands for 3 years. that is cherry picking. if loma had won a belt against the weakest champ whoever you decide it was and then fought bums for 3 years then yes that would be a proper comparison

If you think Pedraza is a weak opponent that's fine.

All I'm asking is for you to acknowledge that he was a weak opponent on Lomachenko's record too.

You can't have it both ways.

                Weights !

Pedraza was struggling to make 130 when Tank fought him. After he moved up and fought Lomachenko at a (then) more comfortable 135.

One can't compare the fights. If Tank vs Pedraza had been at 135 it could have been a very different fight (and if he fought Loma at Loma's more comfortable 130 there is no way he would have seen the end of the 12th).

Weights make a difference, especially when one guy is outgrowing a weightclass and can no longer make it comfortably.

Yet when Pedraza moved up to 140 to be even more comfortable making weight he lost to Jose "Chon" Zepeda in his most recent fight.

Pedraza's a bit like Linares - not comfortable at 135 or 140 currently, but the point that he was as weak as a kittten at 130 at the time Tank fought him doesn't change.

So he was weak at 130 and not comfortable at 140 but an absolute beast at 135 against Lomachenko?
