Comments Thread For: Liam Williams Hopes For Andrade, Wants Munguia & Smith Too

Liam Williams says the decision to switch his training camps from South Wales to Sheffield has turned him into a hungrier fighter and equipped him for winning a world title in 2020. Williams, the British middleweight champion, recorded the finest win of his career when he cut down Alantez Fox in five one-sided rounds at the Copper Box, London, last weekend and while Paco Valcarcel, the WBO president, took to Twitter to deny that the fight was a final eliminator for their WBO middleweight title, Williams believes he will get a world-title shot early in the New Year.

The way he was talking after the fight was that he would give up his position in the wbo to fight eubank jr as in his words "he's a d1ckhead" lol

I don't see him beating Andrade. He matches up better against Munguia and Smith (obviously). Wonder if he could finally Nick one versus Smith.

Williams can box and does have some skills, but it's another case of a British domestic level fighter thinking he's a world champion.

I can agree with this as far as Williams is concerned but for the record; I can't say anything negative about the Brtish levels of compition. They get true matchups and gritty performances. Actually would like to see more of those fighters on world platforms. I believe we would be in for some great bouts.

Williams with the super Sudafed from Ingle is much better than the Williams that lost to Smith. Problem for him is cutting too easily.

The Munguia fight is a fan-friendly WAR and would make great television. I'm looking forward to seeing Liam make his US debut in 2020. It could be a great year for Welsh boxing.
