The rest of your post says otherwise. But yes, Shawn Porter, who is 2 and a half inches shorter than Spence with at least a 2 inch reach disadvantage , is pretty big for the division. While the 5 foot 9 and a half inch Spence, is a small welterweight. Did you even read that before you hit submit?

Well, he fought at 152 in the amateurs, he's looked bigger than everyone he's ever fought, and when he fought here in Ontario (same day weigh ins) he came in at 157

so...yeah, not a small welterweight at all. Pacquao is a small welterweight. There is no such thing as a small welterweight who begins his career in the welterweight division.
