Comments Thread For: Mayweather: Davis is Taking Chances, Rolling The Dice Like I Did

Five division world champion Floyd Mayweather, the promoter for Gervonta "Tank" Davis, predicts very big things for the future of his fighter. Davis, a former two-time champion, will collide with his most experienced opponent, former unified champion Yuriorkis Gamboa, and they will clash or the vacant WBA lightweight world title at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The card will headline a Showtime televised tripleheader.

Mayweather is his promoter, so I can’t throw shade at him. Am sure in secret he would be telling Davis off (I seriously hope so). You can’t be making excuses for him like a fan boy.

        Huh????

Taking chances like I did???? Floyd, you waited until Mosley was 40 years old...You never rematched Oscar.... You made Pacquiao wait 7 years..... You avoided Margarito. entirely. Taking chances has never been your thing.

The only chance he took, was on whatever he ate before the weigh-in.

Calm down Boxing fans. Just remember Floyd isnt talking to us. He is talking to the masses of casuals who make up the bulk of money that comes in to the sport. Obviously we can see a little protected fat twat when we see one but casuals are easily manipulated and thats what Floyds words are trying to do.

Tanks a great little fighter, somebody let me know when he starts looking to prove that against the best.

... Floyd Mayweather Jr. promoted many other well known fighters...

... with quite little success so far -- Badou Jack did "the best"...

That's why Mayweather has to tell all the droolers he's doing it, so they can believe this.

Man, this is shoddy as hell.

Tank Davis is a cheating ass bum who's looking for every advantage against a ****ing 40-year-old opponent.

                    Damn, man.

                    Safety first impresses nobody.

If you're so confident in this piece of ****, why do you protect him like he's a toddler?
