  • anyone give gamboa ANY shot??

    positives
-he looked impressive in destroying an established cotender in his last fight
-hes won 4 in a row
-he still has exceptional hand speed, with above average power
    -clearly the more experienced fighter

    negatives
    -very suspect chin
    -38 years old
-fighting far above his best weight

this is the last fight card of the year, so im trying to pump up this fight in my mind the best that i can. regardless of how past his prime you think gomboa is, he IS davis best opponent to date.

i think gamboas best bet is to box n make it ugly n as boring as possible. i think that what he will do, n will have some success doing so, winning some rounds, but i just dont see a way davis strength, power, n speed doesnt break down gamboa in the late rounds. my prediction is davis tko9 in what is a compeititve fight, especially early.

every former great fighter has one great fight left in them, regardless of how far they are past it(morales-maidana), n i think gamboa will fight the fight of his life. i just dont see how davis doesnt crack his suspect chin sometime in the fight.

i think pascal-jack is a better, evenly matched, 50/50 fight. i think jack has more left in the tank, n pascals legs looked shot against browne. hecan still punch though, n jscks not a puncher that could hurt pascal imo. i expect it to go the distance, with a split decision either way likely.

god bless fight fans, enjoy, n i think 2020 will be a better year for boxing.

Bro I hope he wins but they’re doing everything in their power so he loses. Sad but true

Like picking him at a point in his career where he has no chance to win? Gamboa got destroyed by Robinson Castellanos a few years back and arguably lost to Jason Sosa. This version of Gamboa can't win.

            Gamboa is a 20-1 underdog.

If he wins it’s one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.

he's completely shot. he beat another shot fighter in martinez. martinez was no contender. he also lost to jason sosa recently. he is done-zo!

Haha Even funnier to me because I actually saw footage of the shove.
