Right. I got the news from my brother saying Tank came back 2hrs later to make the weight. I’m not sure what the official rules are for each commission but I’d like to know. Course with the title on the line the commission gets an extra fee. If it’s supposed to be just one hour and Tank didn’t weigh in before that then Gamboa should be awarded sum sort of compensation. That’s big bucks, I hope it’s looked into. I don’t mind deals made between both parties to get a fight to continue due to a missed weight. But I don’t want rules changed on the fly, making boxing look ridiculous. Gamboa should have sum money coming to him if Tank didn’t show at weight in time. Course if the commission told him one thing... either way it’s not Gamboas fault and he should get what’s coming to him.Comment

Well Cunningham was a police/probation officer so I would think he’d have been the first one to grab Tank and be on the front line. I haven’t had a chance to look back but I could definitely be wrongComment

I just read the WBA rules and they do state a fighter will get 2hours to make weight if they miss the first time. If they don’t make weight within the additional two hours they will be fined %35 of their purse. %25 to the promoter and %10 to the opponent. Plus pay the sanctioning fee. So I don’t know why Tank was fined if he made weight within the rules. Maybe because he was late?Comment
