  • Comments Thread For: Lemieux's Handlers Not Concerned With Latest Performance

It was supposed to be a showcase for his official entry at super middleweight, but instead David Lemiex went life and death with Max Bursak over ten rounds. Lemieux was dropped in the first round. And then again in the fifth. He came back to drop Bursak in the sixth.

I have always liked him. I hope this is just a bump.

The guy is limited, but he throws what he has into every fight. I hope this division is suited for him.

Imagine if the fight with John Ryder went through.

So he was dropped twice and he dropped Max once and Max did not manage to get the razor thin decision.

          Hmm....makes one wonder.

Hopefully it shows up on Youtube so one can view it and determine how things played out.

Too bad Lemieux can't stay at 160 because his power there is elite.

For a guy who struggled to make weight at 160, I'm inclined to believe his team that he was very rusty for this fight. I hope for Lemieux that another fight in the next 3-4 months will knock the rest of the rust off.

If you are referring to Saunders ...no it was not boring.
It was more like a one sided beat down.

Its never boring when the recipient of the beatdown was considered not only the favorite but to win by KO.

Someone forgot to send the script to Saunders!!

Right. I’m cdn, I’m aware of what Lemieux is. He’s an attraction. He throws about as hard as anyone in boxing while showing sum of the worst foot work u can watch. My biggest dissatisfaction was his long haircut when he fought GGG. Every time he got hit his hair would fly back and sell the punch like he was a pro wrestler. So many people I know mentioned it at the time. I know UK can protect its fighters just like we can, I understand. Was nice to see him spark O’Sullivan though. I don’t doubt that he gets the hometown rub too. I’m always apprehensive of a cdn judges score anywhere if I’m honest. It doesn’t mean we don’t have good people or fans. But if one of our guys shows promise I hope one day we can try and do the things to try and make him the best.
