Hen was one of those real respectable sorts. Belcher is a dynasty character, I've forgotten if his grandad id Slack or Broughton but it's one of em. He was really well respected.

When Hen refused to take advantage he's doing so to prove he can beat Jem on equal footing.

Later Fitz would refuse to KO Nonpariel for similar reason. Dempsey being Dempsey demanded it though.


Credit to The Chicken, he is an unbeaten HW champion, probably the best of the entire bare knuckle era too.


Also, Game Chicken ran into a burning building during his travels and saved some folks from the fire. Proper respectable sort of dude.
