DAZN is losing money but so is Top Rank and PBC too. PBC lost a lot of money on Wilder Ortiz II. And Top Rank lost big on Khan vs Crawford and Tyson Fury has gotten crazy money to fight 2 unknowns.
DAZN's problem: They pay out PPV-caliber purses but don't earn PPV revenue

That fight would've did a million buys with an immediate rematch. Bob Arum killed all momentum. Took Fury off TV and killed his US exposure. Now they want to do it Feb 22nd when there isn't enough time to do a proper lead up like they did with the first fight. They'll be lucky to do 600k.Didn't PBC just pay 27m in combined purses for a PPV that struggled to sell 250K PPVs? That was with great promotion from FOX.
You should be asking yourself how sustainable that is in the long term, their projections for the Wilder Fury 2 fight are very inflated and not realistic.Comment

PBC is not losing money. They're making so much money and happy with the PPV's they just got an exclusive output deal with In Demand PPV provider which pays them a higher percentage than traditional PPV's. Fox is bullish on PPV's. Anything over that 250k mark is what they're looking for. I don't know why you people keep pushing this narrative when I've made topics showing what I said is true. If you're losing money on PPV's you stop having them. Like Top Rank did with Terence Crawford.Comment

They've spent more money than PBC ever did. And they can't hit a million subs, they're looking for $500 mil from investors to recoup Blatavik loses, and they cancelled their IPO and they're about to raise prices for the second time. If they were prepared to take these loses they wouldn't have had to raise the price. The loses would've been factored into the original price
If you play with revenue numbers you'll see what they're banking on. In any case, it's way too early to talk about if they will be sustainable. They were prepared for the up front losses, otherwise they wouldn't get the idea off the ground. PBC was bleeding large amounts of cash for 2 or 3 years. Expect the same from DAZN.Comment

NSAC listed Wilder's pay at $3 million and Ortiz' pay at $1 million.Comment

It's actually a good point to make. If they are public companies and you have access to their various revenue streams as well as their other assets and liabilities as well as investments, then fair play.
But just guessing based on a few factors is kind of silly.
It happens with every promotional outlet though there isn't one that's immune to criticism made without all of the relevant information a business runs on.Comment

Almost 30 million in purses, and only 4 million in gate and 250K PPV buys. Yeah they sure made a lot of money there.PBC is not losing money.
