Jermall vs Hogan did 275k views, yes, diff network, i guess fox is way bigger than showtime..but still the sheer difference in viewing figures, is all down to that guy, Harrison.
It was the build up trash talk. Both sides.

He seems to forget that Harrison slowed down his trash talk after he came back from injury, all quiet

Harrison got the upper hand there..and idk much about the demographics in the US but there was all this talk of 'michigan' supporting Harrison.
i guess that fight became more than just boxing.

it also goes to show that there is a big fanbase in the US that will watch fights when it gets their attention, but how many of those are willing to pay to watch it?

network tv can get that amount of viewers putting on a tv series that will cost $1m an episode..and wont need the promotion each boxing fight does..and will give weekly returns.
fox are only this so they can translate the views to ppv.

this is like when free to air boxing used to be huge in the UK back in the 90s..with the likes of eubank sr and nigel benn on it. Didn't bring a lot of money in that way though.

I had people on my Facebook in Detroit talking about the fight, and I never seen them post about boxing before that.

Watching paint dry would get those numbers on fox.

Boxingscene needs to correct their average they've put the same number as the peak.

The number looks similar but not same - main event averaged 2.223 million, peak was 2.233 million (+10,000).
