Why is LHW is full of old fighters

    Is it Florida of boxing?!?!??!

I think Calzaghe should go to LHW in his last couple of fight before he retires

Its not really all that old, and Dawson may be the future after Erdei retires but hes only 32 at the time.

      My Light Heavyweight Ratings:
      1.) Zsolt Erdei - 32
      2.) Glen Johnson - 37
      3.) Fabrice Tizzo - 37
      4.) Tomasz Adamek - 29
      5.) Antonio Tarver - 37
      6.) Julio Gonzalez - 30
      7.) Hugo Gary - 25
      8.) Roy Jones Jr. - 37

      I guess your right...

You left out Briggs, who deserves to be right in the middle of that bunch. He's 30. The winner of Adamek/Briggs 2 is probably the best LHW in my opinion, if they don't ruin each other in another war.

Tarver, Jones and Johnson are on their way out of serious contention. They won't be around this time next year (hopefully). Erdei should seek a unification with the winner of Adamek/Briggs or Woods/Johnson. Johnson is going to fight Roy, probably win or lose, which is a meaningless fight for everybody and everything, except Roy's personal pride.

Dawson- not sold on him yet. Calzaghe- should only move up after he becomes undisputed at 168, becoming undisputed at 168 would be unprecedented, and then going on to beat a unified/undisputed 175 champ would be legendary.

I was really impressed with him also. But a lot of people on the site think he is overrated. He even made somebody's top 5 overrated boxers. I think he is the future and the future will be sooner rather than later. For those of you that aren't sold on him... what would it take to be sure of him (something more specific than fight somebody better than Harding because Harding is decent)?

He's a 6'3 LHW who is a southpaw. So he's going to cause many guys problems with just those two things alone.

Yes, the performance against Harding was very good. I'm not saying it wasn't. But it looked like Harding is a little past it, and gave up about midway through, and Dawson just sort of cruised and boxed and jabbed, with an occasional uppercut. Harding was slow with his punches and wasn't putting the pressure on him like he should have (and could have a few years back, I'm guessing).

All I'm saying is I'd like to see him again, against another LHW contender, before I'm sold on him.
