This fight is fairly simple. Both these guys are who we think they are.

Wilder: Granite chinned, quick handed, "all it takes is one" power that he absolutely believes will always land. But he is off balance, can be hit, defense is a high guard and nothing else.

Fury: Technician that controls both ring position and distance, shifty movement which rarely gives a full target, uses his size and weight to lean on and exhaust his opposition, is a tough as nails fighter whose footwork and head movement are elite in this generation. But his power is near nonexistent, he is average in hand speed, and shown signs of wear and tear in recent fights.

So..... If Wilder lands anything like he did in round 12 of their first fight, Wilder wins. Period. Especially if it is before round 12. If not, Mr. Fury will toy with him, push him around the ring, rack up rounds in the judges eyes, and leave with a shiny strap.

Just depends on how you see the first fight. Did Wilder do exactly what he expected, just not soon enough? Or did Fury do exactly what he wanted, and just get sloppy in a few rounds?

I went back and looked at the fight again. Jack Reid's was indeed the third guy in the ring. Any other time that type of knockdown happens he would have waived it off. For him to say the Champ deserved to get up. He better remember that. He tarnished his legacy over a dosser.

Good assessment of things. I'd say that Wilder didn't get to his business soon enough, because he's not going to outbox Fury. Now that he's faced Fury, he might be able to line him for the big shot sooner. He already knows that he can follow Fury around for 12 rounds eating shots to land maybe 2-3 of his and win. Fury has a better chance of stopping Wilder than he does being perfect for 12 rounds IMO.

He’s relocated his wife and kids for Christmas in USA so he can train

Doesn't matter what you think about these two, you gotta respect them for fighting each other again. Interesting how it's only a problem to make a fight when Joshua is involved, but I guess it takes guts to admit being scared of Wilder, that's why he offered Fury help just so he doesn't have to face Wilder...and his fan boys still defend him and his cowardly actions

Yup, if everyone is being real, it's a highly risky fight for both. Fury faces prospect of making one mistake in 12 rounds and being KOed for good this time, and Wilder faces risk of maybe not landing the shot and losing a decision. Good on them both for manning up and taking the fight. Respect. And the loser of this one in my book retains cred and should stay right in the mix (despite all the inevitable gloating from the respective fighters' keyboard warrior fan-bases) of the top of the heavyweight division.

Honestly pumped for this fight. Have a good feeling this will be a pretty stacked card too. I'll have no issue paying for this.

Wilder has to make this a firefight by putting punches together while throwing them in bunches. Throwing single punches at a time is not going to get the job done this time. He needs to let his hands go more.

He is not going to win a boxing match against Tyson Fury who typically likes to fight at a snail's pace. This fight should be fought at a torrid pace where Wilder throws an awful lot of combination punches.

I would add that in order to effectively land punches thrown in bunches Wilder will have to close the distance on Fury and do a better job of cutting off the ring. I hope this is the improvement Wilder has been working on.

Good assessment but with a caveat. Fury in the first fight only gave the appearance of landing many more punches than Wilder. By official CompuBox records Fury land 13 more punches in the entire fight than did Wilder. That's barely more than one punch per round. This to me means that we can be greatly influenced in our perception of how good a boxer is simply because they dance around even though they fail to truly engage their opponent.

Fury by UD again. Can't imagine what Wilder's plan is ? He showed you and Wilder he can take his best shots and rise like the undertaker. Haha
