Ben is going to look like a genius when Fury is destroyed in February! I can already hear Ben saying.. " If Fury would have stayed with me.. He wouldn't have gotten put in a coma! " Lol.. No, no.. Ben.. That ish was happening to Fury with or without you!

I wonder if ole John has threatened Davison with the heavies, either walk away, or you'll never walk again

It doesn’t seem right to me.

Though Davison drew criticism from Roach who was in that corner for not stepping on Wilder when he had him buzzed. And it seems that’s a narrative coming from around the Fury camp - well, his Dad anyway.

        From the outside looking in:

        1. It didn’t look like Fury hurt Wilder that much at any one stage. He made a mess of his face and was busting him up but the stoppage never looked on. Unless Wilder just quit. Which he doesn’t have in him. Not with that eraser power in the back pocket.

        2. If you’re Fury with his advantages I just don’t think you’re ever going to pin the toes to the floor and drive your body weight forward to land a conclusive blow against someone like Wilder who he can outbox. Never get in a position when the head is over the front foot. Jab and dance. Give himself space so he can see when Wilder flares his elbows.

For all intents and purposes Fury took away Wilder’s right hand.

I dunno, maybe they see something we can’t?

It was the first Wilder fight.

Getting knocked down twice, and getting seriously rocked on the second, did some lasting damage to Fury. Boxing, said Mike Tyson, is a hurtin' game. Mr. Fury got badly hurt and needed more time off to recover before getting back into the ring.

Fury may try anything to confuse Deontay in the rematch... smother him on the inside, bash him with body shots to slow him down, then switch back to his herky-jerky dance in the next round. But no matter what Fury does... Wilder will be stronger, faster, and more relentless. Fighting the Bronze Bomber... it's like taking on a whole squadron. Tyson Fury is not facing one man, he's entering battle against a One Man Army.

Whats the line about people - you know them for a reason, a season, or a lifetime?

Maybe Fury and Davison were training together for a reason - Fury's recovery. If he's on a level path now, I can see where maybe he needs a change to progress and forge a path forward. Still, any change 2 months out from a huge fight is bound to leave people scratching their heads. I hope he's making good choices, and doing what he needs to do for himself.

I thought Fury and Davidson have good chemistry, like they are both on the same page and they respect each other. I think it would had been better to add than replace. But Fury and company should know what they are doing but you can blame the performance solely on the trainer. The fighter has a lot to do with it and that nasty cut made things much different than they planned.

So, he had a family trainer who got him through Wlad but had to be dropped because they could no longer progress, got him a leprechaun to help him lose some weight, looked real bad against some bums, and went to an American dynasty for progression?

John seems mostly upset about Wallin and Schwarz. I don't blame him, that is Tyson's worst to date.

He probably enjoyed seeing himself and the change he has made since he faced wilder, he just went a bit too far with it.
Yeah, I think this is dead on. People, not just athletes, who have dramatic weight loss and transform their bodies often at first obsess on it and overshoot on the weight loss side. Over the years I've seen more than a handful of people at gyms go from obese to borderline anorexic. Know he didn't go that far, but the weight for Wallin fight may have been below his peak performing fighting weight. But I will say Fury's movement and awkward helter skelter herky jerkiness better not be left on the cutting room floor because if he makes it easier for Wilder to land squarely, it could be lights out for an 18 count this time around.

If they hadn’t fought before, I would have believe everything you wrote.

Where was that One Man Army when they fought?

Like you, I’m picking Wilder to win the rematch but your post seems to forget these two fought before and almost everyone believes Fury got robbed.
