GGG/Jacobs was a good fight. It was a close and competitive fight but the judges rightfully went for the guy who was more aggressive, accurate and landed more shots. The only category Jacobs led in was with power shots but it wasn't by much and wasn't more effective because he was the only one dropped.

I honestly don't see how anyone could find 7 rounds for Danny in that fight...he did better than expected, but that fight wasn't tremendously hard to score, as evidenced by all 3 judges basically having the same cards.

1 - close round, not much action, GGG nicks it at the end with a few good shots
2 - close round, slide it to Danny after a close 1st
3 - clearest round so far, for GGG
4 - GGG KD
5 - GGG clear
6 - probably some shoe shining by Danny, but pretty clear for him when watching live
7 - close
8 - GGG
9 - GGG
10 - Danny

All 3 judges scored those 10 rounds the exact same way, except round 7, which was legitimately close.

11 was close as well, and 12 pretty clear to GGG.

But on all 3 judges cards, and on any reasonable card, the fight was over after 9 rounds.

Derevychenko deserves a rematch way before Danny imo...at least SD came to fight/win, Danny came to go 12 rounds, and he did the same thing basically vs Canelo.

Again, the trouble with guaranteed contracts. You're always going to get these type of fights mixed in. Canelo had Fielding, Floyd had Berto, and now we get this. GGG will earn $10M to fight a stay-busy fight after coming off a grueling war with D-Chenko.
