For rumbling the way they did after talking all the smack they talked in the build up. I think Dana said last week that grudge matches hardly ever live up to the hype for Usman/Covington certainly did as did Charlo/Harrison. You could tell they don't like each other at all and they settled it the only way you could.

Harrison is a quality quality fighter and the more skilled fighter, but he's been the more skilled fighter in all his losses. He's just a lousy closer and for some reason has lapses. He will come again and bring on Charlo vs JRock in June!

Agreed, they walked it like they talked it. Both of them were looking for the knockout. Harrison fault like a confident champion. Maybe a little too confident, but he showed he deserved to have that belt on his waist while it lasted.

Harrison fought very well like he usually does. He dug deep after the first KD and started to change it up and started walking Charlo down and they exchanged some serious leather.

It was just a great all around card from the Balderas KO to the Ajagba fight to the main event.

Elite at 154? They can compete against any of the top 154 pounders. That's a very good division with a bunch of fighters close to the same level. Castano, Lara, Hurd, JRock, Lubin, Charlo, Harrison and even Teixiera can all mix it up against each other.

Harrison has a very predictable arc when it comes to his biggest fights. Wasn't expecting him to have that kind of success on the inside though. There were lapses in action but overall it was a great fight and good card from what I saw. Didn't start watching until maybe 30 minutes into the broadcast. Jermell/JRock is definitely thee fight to make next. Harrison showed where Charlo is vulnerable and Williams can capitalize on his success. I don't think Jermell is that kind of puncher he and others think he is, but he's still a solid enough puncher to change the fight. Hopefully that fight happens next year.

Well of course, who actually ranks Charlo/Harrison as the true elite fighters of the sport?

They gave us two damn good, competitive fights and that's all you could ask for.

In fact, the 154 division brought it this year. From Castano vs Lara to JRock vs Hurd to then Harrison vs Charlo II. Some good stuff and there's a lot of young talent in the division.
