Balderas should have signed with Top Rank like Teofimo. Look at Teofimo now. Teofimo got built up on espn and espn+ And is now a champion while Balderas has mostly been inactive and on walkout bouts and lost all of the momentum he had as a a blue chip prospect

He should of never signed with Schaefer his career has been mismanaged from day 1. He signed at the same time Teofimo, Ryan Garcia, Shakur, Vergil Ortiz all signed. He got about half the fights, no exposure, no buzz compared to the others who signed to Top Rank and Golden Boy and now Schaefer got him knocked out and probably ruined career. If you a top blue Chip prospect signing with the right promoter is crucial. He took the money and signed to that snake oil salesmen Schaefer. He was the big signing for his new promotional company which has gone nowhere he couldn't keep Balderas busy, or get him the right fights to develop.
