Never said it was illegal, said it was done at the last minute, and everyone said it was unexpected. So one guy makes weight for a second weigh in and one doesn't. Its common knowledge Jacobs was alot heavier than Golovkin in that fight, but Jacobs said it wasnt really an advantage. Now he fights a heavier guy, its used as an excuse and a disadvantage. Cant have it both ways.

Definitely dont see how Jacobs being heavier or GGG being lighter is an advantage. Just look at Wilder...hes always like 40 pounds outweighed...

Its an advantage as far as power and resilience are concerned, as Jacobs was alluding to when he said he was in with a cruiserweight. I dont know what's going on with Chavez tbh, he seemed to be doing ok, i wouldn't be surprised if it was betting fraud, but ive heard hes not one for doing roadwork.

Now that he is older he is heavy as hell and a big target without speed and without world class power and has to drain his stamina to even fight 4lbs above 168 lol... he already got murdered at 175lb and knows he can´t get away with landing one for every 2 he takes at that weight, so he tried to cheat Jacobs by agreeing to 168. Danny on the other hand has easy natural power despite sacrificing it for speed a lot of times. It was absolutely soul crushing to Chavez to know he had an unfair advantage and Jacobs still punched harder than him while not even putting power in his shots. A smaller man broke his nose without even loading his shots....dude knew He was gonna get Margarito'ed.

Jacobs always made weight. Always.

His opponent came in 5 pounds overweight and they had to renegotiate the contract ffs...

And Jacobs never had a significant weight advantage on fight night...less than 10 pounds which isnt unusual at all.

People get fixated on weight differences, but it goes both ways. Jacobs carried around 10 extra pounds fight night...which tires him out faster and makes him slower. Sure it *should* help him absorb punches a hair better, but it's not all positives...its a tradeoff.

Danny didn't make weight for the Golovkin fight. He didn't even try. That why he was stripped of his IBF title.
