Every organization has interim champions. The IBF is the strictest though about the circumstances where they'll allow an interim champion. Off the top of my head, the WBC and IBF have one interim champion each right now. The WBO has zero. I think the WBA has six?

The WBA has super champions and world champions. They don't have regular champions or super regular champions.

If the IBF will strip Alvarez then they will strip anyone. The current version of them is the most respectable organization.

The ABC belts suck but the IBF is the most credible at this point.

They are and always will be. People like to laugh at the rankings, not understanding that many don't want to face the obligations (strict mandatories, rehydration rules).

IBF is somehow the only semi competent organization.
