Intriguing match-up. Vargas has the height and reach advantage, however he doesn't have a history of winning fights by boxing from distance. Vargas has also lost to/struggled with smaller guys at the elite level (Pacquiao, Tim Bradley, even Adrien Broner to a degree). Mikey Garcia was dominated by Errol Spence Jr. in his last outing but I'm not gonna use that to completely write him off at 147. I favor Mikey 60-40 in this fight but Vargas is a live underdog. I will wait until the fight gets closer to offer an official prediction but as a fan, I like the fight.
