  • Comments Thread For: Arum: Wilder-Fury 2 Should Gross 2 Million PPV Buys, $100M

The second installment of the heavyweight clash between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury on Feb. 22 is projecting for lofty-if not record-figures, according to the principals involved in the mega rematch. "I would be disappointed if the pay-per-view was less than two million buys," Top Rank head Bob Arum told BoxingScene.com in an interview. "That's the goal and estimation. I think it's doable and PBC [head Al Haymon] thinks it's doable, and we're pulling off all of the stops to reach that number, or exceed it."

It’s all about the price tag!

We are in an age where practical purchasing from phones varies from $2 or $30 dollars. $80 for Wilder Fury 2 is just too much in today’s time. I would laugh if the price tag is $100

Well the first fight was good and right now they're the two best HW's in the world. Just hope they not gonna rob Fury again. I rather pay a bit more to see these two go at each other than pay less for a fight like we've seen the other day, where a guy runs from a short fat guy, that was a joke.

This is why Arum had Fury not take the immediate rematch. Arum is all about the dollar, but looking at both guys past 2 opponents not taking it might have benefited Wilder more

Lol, they won't do the PPV numbers that Arum is preaching. Not in the times of today. It will do good PPV numbers but no where near what Arum is saying.

I'll stream it, as usual. Haven't paid for a ppv in years

Haymon and Arum now have a business alliance. These two once hated rivals both desperately need each other because Joshua has a monopoly on Heavyweight division and heavyweight money. Haymon and Arum have an alliance now to go to war with Hearn and DAZN which is putting them out of business by killing their business. Canelo and Joshua are why DAZN is dominating boxing now.

Haymon and Arum are desperate and have joined forces. Unfortunately Wilder vs Fury 2 will be another inside job business alliance fix where both of their values are maintained, so each can keep their leverage for the Joshua $100m plus jackpot. It will be another fake draw.

Your best move is to boycott this fraud Wilder vs Fury rematch and keep them down as low draws, which would force each to be sacrificed to Joshua.

If they want to sell PPV, they should probably go ahead and set an date officially first.

I hear you man. It's a lot more convenient and affordable or free to stream. Also watching a fight at a movie theater for $15 bucks is a lot more economical these days than paying $75 or more for PPV.
