Seems like Fury is no. 1 because of the flaws of their ranking system.
Its either Fury or Wilder. and that will be decided next when they fight each other.
AJ is out of the picture after he was humiliated by the mexican Blob, and exposed for the chinny hype job he is.

I care that hes fighting #1 ranked guy in the world for the 2nd time, like champion should be. To prove hes a champion.
Meanwhile the other "belt holder" is busy playing ring around the rosy with a morbidly obese tiny Mexican, and lining up the next fight agaist a cruiserweight and an over the hill Pulev.

It's always a different way of analysing things when it comes to american fighters, could you imagine what these guys would be saying if Joshua was a 34 year old WBC champion who had only beaten 2 top 10 fighters in 43 fights without ever attempting to unify, all while refusing career high money to do so.
AJ and Hearn are not unworthy of criticism but I just find it hilariously entertaining when it comes from Wilder fanatics.

The fact is that Usyk is way smaller than most hw and seems not to pack too much power. That said, he can win - anyway - against all of them (but Fury, again) but not in a spectacular way. Simply on points.
So i'm pretty sure he can beat AJ, even if AJ would perhaps destroy someone that Usyk simply beats on points.
vs Joshua or Wilder he would be giving up reach. He used his reach advantage against Gassiev masterfully, but he wouldn't have that against Wilder or Joshua.
As for Wilder, the phrase 'everyone outboxes Wilder' comes to mind, but as we know, Wilder just needs that 2 seconds of perfection to win - and other than Fury (where he almost had it), he's always found that punch. There is a good chance Usyk has the skills to avoid that 2-second moment (also possibly the chin to ride with one or two), so Usyk/Wilder could go either way as Usyk does have the boxing skills and gas tank to possibly ride it out for 12.
vs Joshua Usyk would be facing a better technical boxer (better than Wilder that is), and one that is now more gun-shy than previously now that he knows he can lose if he doesn't stay defensively responsible. I suspect Usyk would also be gun-shy due to Joshua's power, and it could get technical. I suspect Joshua beats him on points if he doesn't get a KO, whereas Wilder needs the KO.
Style wise, I suspect Usyk would do worst against Fury as he just wouldn't be able to reach him, and Fury has the skills to win at distance.
Anyway, will be fun to see how he (Usyk) does at HW.

Wilder should be fighting AJ. He can become unified champion and then all the Wilder fan boys can j**k off in the mirror and can boast to everyone else how right they were about Wilder. Surely that's your dream? You should at least try to make it happen.

If you actually had a system. AJ would probably be equal with Wilder. All of the decent fighters Wilder have been past their best or recently retired and fat. And you can say the same with AJ to some extent. Except AJ has beaten more current top 10 fighters and has had far less fights than Wilder. AJ also has more belts. Wilder also avoided Wlad back when he had all the belts
AJ hasn't been exposed because he lost one fight. And you said I knew nothing about boxing.... He looks like a very good fighter who will get a couple more KO losses in his career. But then so did Wlad and Lennox Lewis.Last edited by Roberto Vasquez; 12-20-2019, 12:48 PM.
