    WBC Rates Trinidad Number One!

Felix "Tito" Trinidad, returned to the ring on Saturday after 2 1/2 years and has been named the number one contender by the WBC for Bernard Hopkins' WBC portion of his middleweight crown.

We could see a Trinidad-Hopkins rematch by the middle of next year if Hopkins gets by his January mandatory who will likely end up being Felix Sturm.

There are lawsuits still pending between Hopkins and promoter Don King, how that will come into play as far as making the match is unknown. [details]

Howard Eastman has been royally ****ed screwed here. He's been waiting for his shot for an eternity. All of a sudden Sturm will likely get his shot first, and Tito gets ranked ahead of Eastman in the WBC's rankings.

Jose Sulaiman is a fat piece of ****, DK/money is why Tito has been moved into the number one position.

The politricks of boxing have totally ruined the sport.

I can't get my hackles up-- much as I tried-- about Tito's ranking as WBC #1, if the victim of such a move is only Harold Eastman. The mere idea of a Hopkins fight that'll have Eastman coming out of the other corner promts me to scan my calendar for better things to do; and, quickly, I find that there are tons of things that I'd rather be doing that'll be more exciting and have beter prospects of lending action, including, but not limited to, bass fishing.

This is not to say that I agree with what Soliman has done. How can he?!!! The nerve to put a guy who's had one fight after a 2-odd years of hiatus ahead of a guy who's faced a bunch of...Oh well...

If Soliman is to ask me-- tho' I doubt we will ever have that chance to exchange ideas-- "How much of a choice is it, if it narrows down to Tito and Eastman?"

      Tough question.

Don't get me wrong people, I like TRINIDAD but WBC putting him as No 1 contender after only one fight coming off from a 2 years of inactivity is simply way out of line.

So what happens to the original no 1 contender and down the line? That's INJUSTICE at it's BEST

        It SUCKS!!!!

That's right, exactly! WBC is pathetic. That's the main reason why these alphabet governing bodies loses it's respectability. Principles? Justice? Everything goes down the drain in favor of money.

WBC where the hell is your CREDIBILITY?

I always considered the WBC the most legit of the alphabet soup orginizations, but is doesn't make any sense to have Tito #1 at this point. I guess they're just as jaded as all the others.
