Baldomir is big, active, and has showed he can deal with speed in the past. He is definitely not a long shot to beat Floyd. Great fighters have lost a lot in the history of boxing, and it's always preceded by fans and media writing off the opponent.

Baldomir is not to be written off.

Lacking the power at 147 all PBF can do is punch and run and rely on a decission. But what if Baldo smart up came out blazing and push PBF back all night long?
I completely disagree and I still think all of you are underrating Floyd's power at 147. He still stopped Mitchell early and he may have stopped Zab if it wasnt for the low blow.

Another thing is that both were lefty's where its hard to load up on and Zab was a lefty with crazy speed & power. Watch Floyd's hands in that fight. He held them exactly like Winky. Close to his face so he could block Zab's shots, have the speed to land quick on Zab with a bunch of quick blows but you never **** your arm back to get power in. Thats why Winky never stops anyone.

Against a righty with not much power, Floyd will throw way more power shots then he did against Zab and he wont have his hands up that high because Baldy isnt fast enough to hit him, Baldy is a righty, and he doesnt have that one punch power like Zab.

I acuatlly belive that Floyd has a chance to stop him late because of the amount of punches he will have landed by then. I also dont think he will be hit and running. He doesnt do that anymore. He is a far more offensive fighter now ever since the N'Dou fight because he has fully converted to his Uncle's style.

He may box some but he wont stay out of range and he will spend time going toe to toe no matter who he faces because he doesnt believe that these righty's can get a clean punch on him. I bet in the 4th round he will go in the pocket on Baldy and pick him a part

          Baldomir has absolutely no chance.

Well you maybe right. As I said, over all skills and speed will be PBFs advantage but you see Baldo has shown he can change fighting styles from time to time and adjust on what the opponent has to bring that's why I'm saying he can give anybody at 147 a real run for their money.

He stopped an OLD Mitchell on a BODY shot. It takes smarts to do that, but not a lot of power. Mitchell doesn't even belong at 147. It is clear that Floyd's power at 147 is negligible. You can tell just by watching him land..the punches lack the authority, but still land accurately.

Baldomir has no risk of getting stopped in this fight other than on cuts. Floyd is not going to stay in the pocket all night with Baldomir. He will be forced to stick and move a bit more, like the Castillo fight.

But...Baldomir STILL has questions about him. Can he deal with a FOCUSED fighter with speed...we all know that Zab is fast but his mind is average at best. Floyd has smarts and speed, and is harder to hit than Judah.

Floyd is playing with fire at 147 vs a big guy like Baldomir (if this fight even goes down) but in Baldy's case, the flames may not be hot enough to burn Floyd.

I still dont think its fair for us to judge Floyd's power at 147 until he fights a righty where he can just really throw his power shots.

My point about Castillo is that I dont even think Floyd wouldve fought Castillo that same way after the N'Dou fight. I think his dad trained him to be a defensive guy and he was always scared to stay offensive for long periods of time. His Uncle came in to change that but it wont happened over night. Thats why I always say that I think he had that bad 5 fight stretch after the Chico fight when he still was trying to do what his uncle said but wasnt fully commited. You could tell that he would throw some punches and then get scared of his ownself. He wasnt comfortable with it until it clicked in the N'Dou fight and he's been like that ever since.

Guys like Manny Steward were saying that maybe this is the style that Floyd wants to take into the higher weight classes but thats dumb. Why we he fight that way in the higher classes and be a mover in the lower clases? It just so happeneds thats when his Uncle got him to convert and it started in his last fight at 135 so it had nothing to do with the higher classes. If Sr. was still his trainer then we would be seeing a totally different Floyd right now.

He would be moving alot more and sometimes running while not letting his hands go. He wouldve never walked guys down like he is doing now and thats why I have always said that I would love for him to fight Castillo again because he would never fight him the same way. Still, you cant diss his Dad because the D is still what makes Floyd great and is his bread & butter. Thats why I think his dad & Uncle combined to make him a complete masterpiece and he wouldnt be this good if he just wouldve had one of them the whole time

If Floyd ever tried to walk down Castillo, he would get his ass kicked. He is different somewhat from his old days, but not that different. No fighter at 140 can stay in the pocket with Castillo except maybe Hatton. It's a style thing.

Baldomir is not as skilled as Castillo on the inside, but he is a bull with a bigger body and that may be enough. We don't need to wait to see how Floyd's power is at 147, because we already know how it was at 140...not that good. And based off his fights at 147 so far it's not quite as good as it was at 140.

It's no slight to Floyd, bur rather a compliment if he can do so well without a whole lot of power. His power at 147 is pedestrian, buthis accuracy and speed will make up for it in most cases.

Floyd is just too good and Baldomir doesn't have the power to give him much of a puncher's chance. I think PBF chin will be able to handle well any shots Baldi lands (few and far in between) ad that Floyd will win by wide UD or late TKO stoppage bc of too many clean blows. Speed and accuracy are gonna kill baldi.

He definatly wont walk down Castillo or Baldy but Im just saying he wouldnt run like he did alot againt Castillo. I think he would box but still give alot of action like in the Gatti & N'Dou fight. He still moved from both of them until he got them really hurt but he moved in a boxer/puncher way. He just moved some so he could throw more punches and not get hit. Against Castillo he would move alot and just throw some punches and get on his bike again but he was still winning because he moved so much that Castillo could hardly hit him also even though Floyd didnt score much.

Those fights were boring but the Gatti & N'Dou fight were super exciting. I think the Baldy fight will also be fun and if he had got the chance to fight Castillo again then it wouldve been much more action and more exciting
