Andrade should blame DAZN.
Both sides confirmed there were talks last summer as an Andrade fight would have satisfied the IBF mando.
But then DAZN said they would only approve GGG as they were promised that fight by ODLH.
Now Canelo has options in multiple divisions and the Andrade fight isn’t as appealing now that being a unified middleweight champ isn’t on the cards.
DAZN screwed Andrade.

Andrade is said to have ''ducked'' Jermell, but Ronnie Shields cleared that on the Boxing Voice that it was Andrade's litigation which is why the fight didn't happen, and its the reason why the Charlo brothers never bring up that he ducked!

In fact, I give Andrade credit for confronting the Charlos various times. It's the Charlo's that don't want smoke. Mikey Garcia just signed a nice one off with Matchroom USA for one fight. Lions Only should put up or shut up and sign one with DAZN USA. They're just all talk making small M's.

Andrade unhappy with his purse

Junior middleweight world titleholder Demetrius Andrade, unhappy with his purse and by a lack of communication with his promoters, has dropped out of a defense scheduled against Jermell Charlo on Dec. 13 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Although Charlo promoter Golden Boy Promotions and Showtime, which was going to televise the bout as the opener on a tripleheader, announced the fight on Oct. 31, Andrade-Charlo was never finalized and now it's off.

"It is unfortunate as it was a good move for Demetrius and his career but we are trying to reschedule it for another date and will hopefully have some more news next week after I get back in Macau and get together with him," Star Boxing's Joe DeGuardia, who co-promotes Andrade with Artie Pelullo's Banner Promotions, told ESPN.com...

"They make fights without talking to us," he said of DeGuardia and Pelullo. "They said they had a deal to for us to fight Charlo. We said, 'Really?' We are fine fighting Charlo but then we started talking about money and it wasn't worth the money. We held off as long as we could hold off before it was a wrap. It's like Arite and Joe are both my boys but I get mad because we didn't get to discuss the opponent or anything. They gave us Charlo. We were like, OK, but then we had to talk about the money. Give us a choice. How much for this guy? How much for this guy? How much for that guy?

"They never discussed it with us. They gave us one opponent and didn't want to pay us."

Andrade was offered $250,000, which was eventually increased to $300,000, which would have been a career-high.

$300k for a fight of this magnitude is a bs offer. Keep in mind this was around the same time showtime gave Danny $850k to fight Salka. Plus, we all know he had the ****tyest management team before, so you can't blame fights not maturing all in him.

That’s all old news that was revised. Lol

Andrade was a Champion before any of the Charlo’s. If I recall, all Andrade ever wanted was a lucrative purse as a Champion. Wasn’t it eventually going to a purse bid? This wouldn’t have secured the purse he wanted

The boring comment is truthful and plain logic. Andrade is very boring and he can make a very boring fight with Canelo too, he brings no reward and he barely has a name worth flashing on your resume. He really needs a fight vs someone like Charlo or Jacobs.

whether you think he's boring or not is irrelevant. The point is Canelo is hypocritical with his stance. His last 2 fights have been boring and he didn't fight in a manner that was fan friendly. Same deal with many of his past opponents. Saying andrade is boring is just an excuse. Canelo's opponent selection is based on calculated risk. Not whether it brings excitement to fans.
