Baby Bull v Floyd @ 140: Who Wins?

we all know of floyd's good handspeed, in ring intellect, defensive skills, great adaptibility, elusiveness, and precise punch placement.

can diaz; an aggressive pressure fighter with stamina, handspeed, a great body attack, and underated defense pose a prob for floyd

yeah i know floyd is at welter now, but diaz could and may move up in weight

sure diaz doesn't have single ko power but his style is very adaptive to his strengths and allow him breakdown opponents and control them in the ring

imo diaz actually erforms best when he is not phone book fighting but turning his opponent boxing and moving

what happens if diaz and pbf fight?

Diaz doesn't have the KO power needed to worry Mayweather. He'll be able to be aggressive but with Mayweather's defense he'll be able to avoid most of Diaz's good shots, and even if he lands one, it wont be lights out. Floyd would box his way to a pretty easy UD. Bad matchup in my eyes.

Plus, floyd's defense and ability on the inside is overrated. Diaz might get in his face but Floyd will throw some accurate punches on the inside and keep his guard good enough to not be worried.

you don't think diaz would be able to get to floyd's body?

Getting to Floyd's body and doing what? Landing 3 shots at best while Floyd either backs him off with shots to the dome or moves out of the way? Diaz is not a large and imposing figure like his name suggests, especially at Welter. He'd be frustrated when he can't find Floyd to fight on the inside for long and end up eating even more leather trying to make his way in with poor decisions.

And for the record I like Diaz and have high hopes for him... but this is a horrible, horrible matchup at this stage in his career.

No one @ 140 ****in with PBF, he has all his speed at that weight. But PBF @ 147 is not invincible.

i don't see at as being so horible wihtin the next year and a half to two years

diaz will beat more credibel opponents by then and be on top of his game

his handspeed will still be there and his in ring capabilites will have improved

if some give baldi a chance because he is big at welter

diaz's handspeed and footwork clearly make up for what he lacks in size
