Why did DAZN bother with this fight? Unless it's an undercard fight which would make a good undercard tbh. Otherwise I don't understand

1. Should be a good action fight.

2. Should be a good way to determine whether or not Garcia should stay at Welterweight. If he struggles with a guy like Vargas then he doesn't really have a shot against the non-Errol Spence welterweights so he should just move back down to 140.

3. Jessie Vargas has a recognizeable name so it should help sell tickets in the arena and bring eyeballs to the matchup amongst subscribers even if this isn't the kind of fight that will attract new subscribers.

Vargas is going to be drained fighting at 147. Its the whole reason he moved up. Mikey know this.

Agreed. We'll have to see how well he cuts and rehydrates... I don't think it'll go well.

So enlighten me genius, how does it work? I box myself and sure as heck know boxing. Vargas is on serious decline as shown in the Broner fight. his inability to dictate the pace and keep Broner at mid-distance where he needed to be due to his lack of power.

Interesting fight, could be entertaining. This seems like the kind of first fight Garcia should've had at welter. So Vargas dropping back down to welter, I take it? Probably a good idea.

I want Mikey to move down, because I don't see him beating any top 5 welterweights, but 140 is vicious right now. If you ask me, he should've stayed his ass at 135 and fought Lomachenko. He "dared to be great", and now he's stuck in a division where he doesn't belong, surrounded by guys significantly larger and stronger than him. What a moron.
