    Yesterday a press release was distributed stating that former four-division champion Mikey Garcia had reached an agreement with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing. Hearn had been talking to Garcia for over a year and a deal was culminated last week.

      Not a fight anyone asked for. I guess it is good for Mikey coming back after the loss against Spence Jr.

          Will it be at 147? It's a meh fight, but not a terrible one to be fair. But just a decent scrap, nothing more, nothing less.

              This would have been a more reasonable first fight at 147 for Garcia so I am ok with this.

                          I think we all saw that coming, Hearn has wanted that fight for a while. Must have been a sweet deal for Garcia since his career will virtually no nowhere at welterweight with Hearn....to be honest it was going nowhere with PBC once he got a one sided drubbing from spence. Mikey appears to be in cash out mode. Not a bad idea considering his foray into welterweight was as the Tommies found out at Arnhem....”a bridge too far”

                              Garcia vs Vargas.

                              Just because I like it more doesn't mean it's not a meh fight. One is a trash stay busy fight, the other is a meh fight. And one fight will cost damn near 10M to be put on, if Mikey is truly expected to make 7M for this fight....Which I don't see why he wouldn't?

                                  Id rather see him go back down in weight and fight ANY CHAMPION.
                                  Welter is to fat for him.

                                      I prefer the Mikey Garcia vs. Jessie Vargas matchup because I see it as 65-35 in Mikey's favor. I see Garcia-Redkach as more like 90-10 for Danny.
