Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez Sr: My Son Ends Lomachenko, Becomes P4P #1!

Tefimo Lpez Sr., the father and trainer of IBF lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez, is confident that his son is going to demolish WBO, WBA world champion Vasiliy Lomachenko next year. This past Saturday night in New York City, Lomachenko was ringside at Madison Square Garden as he watched Lopez crush Richard Commey in two rounds to capture the IBF belt.

He beats Loma yes but p4p number 1 not yet still has ways to go to reach Canelo even after beating Loma.

For the writer, the name Teófimo López deserves to have its "o"s accented only in the first sentence. Then they are degraded to normal "o"s.

I'am huge fan of Loma, but can't agree about easy fight for him facing Lopez. Lopez is very dangerous counterpuncher, especially his straight right, so Loma better to be fully concentrated throughout 12 rounds. In this case may be like with Rigo. Otherwise may end up badly and painfully...

You just wish these drug dealer dads (this one, Angel Garcia) can stfu and stop trying to live through their sons...Loma is probably going to humble this boy. Risky, risky fight cos of Lopez power and counterpunching but you can tell Loma is setting out to make an example out of Teofimo. Loma hasn't been sharp in last two fights but with the level of opposition this go around, I think he pays more attention to detail and comes in extra sharp. Am thinking a Trinidad- Vargas type of situation

Your son is just keeping that belt warm for Loma.

Lopez can KO fading Loma with one punch at 135 lbs. before Loma retires at 130 without fighting Pac/Mikey at 140 lbs. for his glory?!
