Comments Thread For: The Future Of Boxing Is In Good Hands With Lopez And Ortiz

The 21-year old Ortiz kicked things off...

Boxing is ALWAYS in good hands as someone is always the best and new stars keep emerging.

It won't hurt Teofimo Lopez's career after he loses to Lomachenko as he is young and a huge puncher.

Vergil Ortiz looks like a Can't miss Champion a good fight for him is Kavialauskas, Mean Machine was overmatched against Crawford, It will be a good scalp to claim for Ortiz by beating Mean Machine.

Good article. I try to tune in every time one of these kids is fighting. Honestly, I couldn't believe the lack of promotion for Vergil’s fight on Friday. I only found out midweek that he was headlining Friday on DAZN. Lopez has a much more committed promotional machine behind him

What's happening with Boots Ennis? According to Breadman he's the most talented of the lot of them. How can a fighter that good get left behind by promoters?

This is the sad thing about our sport, it can happen and has happened more than once. The business model is messed up and anything can happen. Sadly, words such as fair or just don't really apply to boxing.

Another group of young, talented, Latino prospects with exciting fights. No one wants to see the runners-huggers...wrongly called "slick"...
