I think being forced to jump to fight Spence has severely dented Garcia's traction and probably did irrevocable damage to his whole career. I'm not sure what other options he had available to him but regardless, he's done nothing but wait for MP since Spence and waiting around after coming off a crushing defeat, isn't really a good look.

If he can bag $7m facing Jessie Vargas, look good while doing so, then who knows what's next!
