I miss the HBO crew in that sense. Lampley and Merchant brought professionalism and unintentional comedy at the same time. George Foreman had real personality so he was a good addition as well.

But these guys like Bradley, ward, and lewis needs to go. They were good boxers but they dont belong on the mic.

Yea miss the HBO crew aswell, was watching the Roy Jones-Tarver 2 fight earlier. Lampley and Merchant brought so much drama to the commentatry and was always a pleasure listening to Emanuel Steward. So much character.

I like Ward and Bradley but having them seperately on different broadcasts would be better

If you read the thread about Bradley telling this truth about PBC fighters ducking, you’ll notice people referring to him as an “Uncle Tom” and a “House N____.”

This highlights the underlying problem with many pbc fans. They view pbc as the African-American promotional outfit and categorize all the other promoters based on race as well. The African-American fighters who fight elsewhere, or commentators who call them out, are traitors.

It’s why they feel entitled to tell Crawford he should switch promoters to get big fights but never say that to Charlo. Crawford can’t be his own man and needs to fall in line.

It’s sickening. The racism in boxing needs to stop.
