    curts thoughts from last night

first things first...good card..all fights good/entertaining as long as they lasted...and props for them putting it on espn instead of the +...i have plus but i realize not everyone does and this was good for them to reach out to everyone...heck i would have paid 20 bucks just to watch commey/teo

idc what kind of personality you have or what kind you dislike...you dislike brash guys? people who run their mouths a bit? how can you not like teo? i was warming up to him but now consider myself a fan....

espn acted like teo/loma was foregone conclusion after the fight concluded...but i noticed something else...after the fight teo was on camera with his father behind him and arum on the left slightly in front of teo talking to teo...you couldnt hear what arum was saying....later when asked teo said something about loma going down and was very hush on the matter...he brushed it off rather quickly without saying anything....i found it rather strange.....could be teo was wrapped up in the emotion of winnig the title, hes had a change of heart about going after loma right away or arum told him to keep quiet...not sure...but it seemed out of character for him ...he literally said next to nothing about......i would have liked to have seen how this thing would have gone the longer it went but you gotta do what you gotta do and cong**** to the kid

on to bud...bud was knocked down no question....in the 4th he held head and fired off several punches while doing that...he was warned but i think you should be docked a point immediately, without warning , for that offense...especially if you throw more than 1 punch while doing it....thats a pretty egregious foul that makes me sick especially when its repeated....

that being said...id make him a small favorite over pre accident spence....post accident spence id make him a larger than that favorite...not huge but a decent margin....partly because we dont know what spence is now....reason being is that crawford has a diverse attack...and he has a mean/nasty streak that is clearly visible....i think he has a bit more dog in him than spence...and that matters...i think spence has some too...his is more subtle...just think crawford has more of it....

Crawford is mean against people who allow him to impose his will with little resistance. Let's see how mean he is when he has a top 5 in front of him.

Teo Lopez gets more and more exciting every fight. I like a big mix of personalities in the sport, Brash is as good as any, if anything i think i prefer brash, its more fun. That division is lit right now. Time will tell on that Loma fight. It would be a good fight though.

Bud did go down in my opinion. It should of not been ruled a slip. Im a big fan of Crawford i think he is exceptional and is the best fighter America has right now and near enough the best fighter the world has to offer.

hey im all for it....hope we get to see it soon...i feel if spence is ok that it will happen 2021...which i dont think is way past any expiration date...i think its a decent time for it....anything after that probably is unfair....

i give props to crawford for last night...i think he feels a little pressure to put on an entertaining fight....to gain fans/popularity and not box boringly as to alienate fans...and it had him in some trouble early but he did his thing......spence is a different animal and pretty strong/tough in his own right too....so yeah i hope this happens in the next year or two

The event delivered. 3 really entertaining fights. Conlan can fight on the outside and brawl. He is getting better every time I see him.

I was expecting Commey-Teo to be back and forth before one of them got KO'd. Teo's power was too much for that. ESPN /Top Rank dropped the ball huge after the fight. They should have brought Loma over at the end of Lopez's interview. They could have sold this fight to casuals right then and there. Anyway its going to be an interesting fight. I favour Loma because he is going to pressure Lopez like he has never seen before. However, Teo could KO Loma if he times that right hand right.

I wasn't excited for the main event at all. Once Mean Machine started well that changed. He came to win and gave a great effort. His problem was he was fighting a highly motivated Crawford, who looked incredible when he started walking him down. Crawford relentlessly aggressively going forward was incredible to watch. I don't see anyone besides pre accident Spence having a chance at beating him at 147. He really is a complete fighter.

i agree that loma will probably try to pressure the kid...but like you said that might not be the best idea...if he can weather it and time it he might hurt loma real bad.....even if he times him with the hook which he was throwing a bit of last night.....its an intriguing matchup i need to see asap...i hope it actually happens

but as i said..im skeptical...they didnt bring in loma like you said...and i saw arum talking to lopez in the ring and lopez said something about loma probably going down in weight and just brushed it off real quick

loma did call out tank...said he wanted him in 2020...because yes people tank is already a mini star!!! id love to see that as well....ultimately i think lopez 2020 and tank in 2021 would be perfect for loma(provided he survives lopez)....

and yeah like you said..the event delivered...all 3 fights entertaining
