Lopez vs Commey = How AJ vs Wilder fight would go

That short left hook by Lopez in the 2nd rd that started the damage before he capped it up with a big right is basically how AJ would knock Wilder out.

Save this thread for posterity! Boxingscene's Nostradamus!

AJ would box his ears off, and land most of the big power shots.
Wilder has that one trick up his sleeve, but he and most everyone who knows boxing knows that it gets harder to knock guys out the better the opponent. Wilder has only fought Fury and Ortiz x 2 (Ortiz is kinda Chisora level), and he struggled in all 3 of those bouts. Wilder is well protected by Finkel and the WBC, so we won't be seeing any Povetkins, Wlads (who might want a go) Parkers, Whyte's or even a prospect like Ajagba or Dubois - we will NEVER see Wilder go on a run like that.
The boxing public should be outraged at Wilder's opponents and Fury is not much better, fighting no name Italians and Swedes. There are some good names available, make the fights, and as a fan, do not excuse your fighter from ducking. Here are 2 facts about Wilder that cannot be refuted, unlike the bs they say about AJ, who has always wanted the fight but won't pay a guy who brings no economic viability more than he deserves, so...2 FACTS.

    1. He is on video admitting that they've been begging him for the fight. That there tells you all you need to know.

    2. He turned down over 100 million dollars in an offer that meant he would have to fight AJ. That there tells you again, enough to know he wants no part of AJ.

You’re right. That’s why I keep saying his power is overrated. Even Breazeale and Ortiz got up after they went down and it wasn’t as devastating as the right Lopez caught Commey with.

If Fury doesn’t beat Wilder, I believe someone like Ruiz or Dillian would knock him out next year.
