Why does Erik Morales prefer...

to use the Japanese made glove "Winning".

I think he's the only fighter in history that i know of that prefers to use this glove? it's weird to because he's mexican so you'd think the Cleto Reyes glove who be his preferred choice.

I've always wondered this...anyone know why ? he's used it his whole career.

He's got brittle hands...a bigger..softer gloves would help ease the blows that would/might damage his hands. He's got great boxing skills....that compensates the power that is taken away when he uses Winning.

Mayweather also prefers Winning gloves over other gloves. Morales' hands are not as brittle as Mayweather's but I'm sure he gets tired of hurting it all the time using other gloves.

mayweather said his hand problems were more tended to the fact that he used to wrap his own hands and i guess it wasnt working out...if you notice since the sosa fight his hands really havent been as bad as they were prior or during the fight

I've never seen Mayweather use Winning gloves.

I cant see the protection being a whole lot better in an 8oz glove no matter what brand but i can understand the comfort factor.
