It's getting silly. The dude is getting left behind by the sport.

I mean do people understand the difference in what we saw with Lopez last night , vs. what we saw with Crawford?

Lopez was fighting a highly-ranked opponent, not just a mandatory but somebody who even people on here ranked very highly as a fighter. A guy people weren't sure Lopez would get past.

Lopez went in there and got the job done in short order, no controversy, no asterisk, clean knockout, no-questions-asked.

Meanwhile, Crawford managed to get rid of his opponent, who happened to be a mandatory, but en route to that win he ended up with a controversial situation where it appeared he got knocked down but it wasn't called by the rep. We don't know if it would have made any difference. The point is there was a controversy in the win as always, he was getting rocked a little bit early on, he was getting tagged more than he should have.

So I ask, if you're looking for a top-flight fighter, are you looking for somebody that can go to war against underdogs, get beat up but still get the win ('eye test') , or are you looking for somebody that fights top-level, challenging opposition, and leaves no doubt in the ring as to who is better?
